Mother’s Day has been busy in 2023 in Nottingham, with lots to do and loads of ways to treat your mothers.

In and around Nottingham there were plenty of things to do on this special day, maybe some highlights that you missed out on, from special offers to workshops.

Molton Brown in Nottingham city centre held a gift giving event alongside them releasing their new line in store. Katherine Holden, a Molton Brown employee, said: “We had a lot of people coming in to buy products for their mums, as our products are very popular with older customers.

“The event was very successful and everyone was enjoying themselves, and very happy with their goody bags we were giving out.”

The new line, called Heavenly Gingerlily new Limited Edition Design,’ boasted a new collection of fragrances for their products which include bath, body and fragrance items. If you were to spend £40+ in store, you would receive a free goody bag, and complimentary refreshments were available. They also had a range of pre-made gift sets and offers.

Mother’s day is a national holiday where we celebrate our mothers and everything they do for us.

It originated in the 16th century, and traditionally is three Sundays before Easter.

Canalhouse accommodated a special comedy show, lead by Zoe Lyons who performed for her Bald Ambition Tour. She is an accredited comedian who is known for being a star at Live at the Apollo and has featured on BBC 1 and BBC 2. She has also won multiple awards such as a the Funny Women Competition in 2004 and Funniest Joke of The Fringe Award in 2008.

Gusto Italian in Nottingham city centre had a range of different offers and things to do. There was a wreath-making workshop where you could craft your own wreath with leaves and flowers with your mother to take home, along side a free soft drink and a brunch. This cost £55 per person. They also offered brunch, lunch and dinner options.

If you fancied a sweet treat after the wreath-making, Doughnotts had you covered. Just a one-minute walk away from Gusto Italian, Doughnotts was offering special edition crafted doughnut boxes, or a Mothers Day edition box which was delivered directly to your door. They also had doughnut bouquets which were available for pre-order.
