Covering 15,000 square feet, the new Poundland store – the biggest in the UK – has opened at Nottingham Riverside retail park, featuring a wider range of homeware and shelves stacked with more fruits and vegetables.

The supersized store is twice the size of the typical Poundland shop and has more employees than any other of its stores in the UK, with 75 full and part-time staff.

The budget retailer also celebrates a number of firsts including the largest selection of Pep&Co clothing that is now one of the top 20 clothing retailers in the UK.

Located at the front of the store, Pep&Co clothing sells a full range of low-priced family fashion

More than a third of the space is dedicated to the fashion outlet; mannequins and fitting rooms are placed throughout the store for the first time.

Along with womenswear, menswear and kidswear, the brand also offers the latest bathroom accessories and soft furnishings.

Customers can enjoy a new range of domestic appliances as well, with Russell Hobbs’ electric mixers, toasters and kettles on sale.
