The Covid-19 vaccine is starting to be rolled out in Nottinghamshire, with people aged over 80, care home staff and residents being the top priorities.
To target the right people, the vaccine will be available by appointment only and people will receive a letter sent from the NHS informing them on how to book a vaccine appointment.
The letters will include instructions about how to book an appointment and will allow them to choose a vaccination site. The NHS has urged people not to contact them until they receive a letter.
The large vaccination hubs have been set up in three main hospitals and four community centres: Ashfield Heath Village (Ashfield), Gamston Community Centre (Gamston), Richard Herrod Leisure Centre (Gedling) and Cripps Health Centre (Nottingham city.
Dr Andy Haynes, the executive lead of Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Integrated Care System, said the vaccination programme would be running at these sites before GPs receive the vaccine.
