Online support network Mums in Business Association (MIBA) has only been in existence for less than two years but already has over 30,000 members.

It was created in 2017 by sisters Estelle Keeber and Leona Burton to support mothers trying to grow a business and raise children at the same time.

Leona, who is based in Spain, has expertise in running a variety of businesses. Estelle, the co-founder of the association, is based in Leicester. She runs a Wedding photography business and was recently awarded runner up in 2017’s women in business awards.

Since the MIBA community has grown to almost 32,000 and has been featured on BBC radio stations around the UK. They have also featured in various magazines, such as The Sun.

As mothers themselves, the sisters decided there was a lack of online support for mothers in business. They had noticed the struggles of running a business whilst also being a full time Mum.

Creating their ‘tribe’ has meant that women in their shoes have specialists at their finger tips should they require any help or support.

Serena Novelli, who joined MIBA just over a year ago, feels that with the help of MIB her business has grown more in the past six months than the previous past 4 years.

I have collaborated with amazing women.

Starting in February, the association are launching an ‘Instagram Growth Challenge’, whereby they will treat their followers to insights an tips about how to improve their social media presence.

They hope that using their expertise, they can help unite working women and help them to improve their business.

Since finding out that 1 in 10 girls are unable to afford sanitary items, MIBA have also chosen to work alongside Mindset and Me to support period poverty.
