A body of a man has been found in the Victoria Centre flats in Nottingham this morning (Friday, November 30).

Nottinghamshire Police said in a statement they were called at 9:18am with a ‘concern for a man’s safety’ at the residence behind the Victoria Shopping Centre.

Our reporter, at the scene, saw police officers carrying battering rams as they made their way into the building.

It was confirmed later that a body had been found but the death is ‘not being treated as suspicious.’

Throughout the incident, two police vehicles were parked outside of the Milton Street entrance of the shopping centre, next to the new McDonald’s.

Nottinghamshire Police added: ‘a file is being prepared for the coroner’.
