The Cod Scallops is up for Restaurant of the Year at the chippy ‘Oscars’.
The restaurant, on Mansfield Road, has been nominated for a second time and faces five other fish and chip shops from around the country.
To reach the finals of the fish and chip awards, restaurants were judged on customer service, varied menu, dining environment and of course quality of fish and chips.

£1.2 billion is spent on fish and chips every year in the UK.
