Spring has finally emerged after the recent heatwave. Daffodils and trees are starting to bloom and it’s time to clean up the garden lawn in time for summer after the long winter we had.

Get your soil ready, Soil is an important aspect of gardening. Break up any clods of soil, raking and altering it and then you are ready to plant. Mixing coffee grounds into the soil will help keep slugs and other pests away.

Plants need to be chosen wisely, they need to matched to the environment they live in. Many plants are not to hard to maintain. An example would be an Azalea, find a spot with shade and moist soil and it will look after itself.
