“You’ve only got one body.”
James Disney, Fitness Instructor

- Type 2 diabetes

(Just some of the few)

YOUR WEIGHT MATTERS!
Regular physical activity is good for everyone’s health, and people of all ages and body types can be physically active. As it is National Physical Fitness & Sports Month, it’s a great time to get back to a healthy, active lifestyle… or if not start! By encouraging everyone to #MoveInMay.
Joining a gym can be costly, but here are many ways to keep active that are FREE:
- Go for a brisk walk around the neighbourhood
- Ride a bicycle to work or just for fun
- Play outdoor games with your friends or family
- Encourage your whole family to get active outside – go for a hike or organise a family game of football or rounders.
Even if you aren’t a fitness enthusiast… make small changes, like taking a walk after dinner or going for a bike ride. Instead of driving to work, ride your bike – It will benefit both your health and the environment!
Lauren Louise, online fitness personality explained how hard it is to stay focused.
She has always been into fitness even from a small child. Being a student, she got involved in cheer leading and other fitness activities. “But I think the thing that sparked it off, was when YouTube started booming.” Lauren was inspired by these fitness personalities and decided to do her own fitness videos.
Physical fitness and exercise is for everyone!
James Disney, a fitness instructor at Nottingham Trent University said that physical fitness is so important.
“You’ve only got one body to work with. If you are training hard and working out regularly, and looking after yourself. You’re going to have less body fat, more joint stability.”
He said that if you aren’t working out regularly then you will have more chance of catching a cold or illness, and feel a bit sluggish (you don’t want to feel this way!)
As an advocate for nutrition, he claims “you can’t out train a bad diet.”
He believes that fitness has become increasingly popular…
