Iconic singer Kerry Ellis has chosen Nottingham Trent University Choir to perform with her at Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall.

Nicknamed the First Lady of West End musicals, Kerry Ellis is world famous for portraying title roles in shows such as Wicked and Les Miserables.

The choir of 200 singers will perform alongside the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra to support her at her “A Night On Broadway” concert at the Royal Concert Hall, Nottingham on Saturday 22nd April.

Nottingham Trent University Choir performed with the singer in 2014 which had an outstanding audience reaction and was described as “musical magic” by the Nottingham Post

The conductor for the evening is Matthew Hopkins, Head of Music at Nottingham Trent University. He said “The public are really excited for the concert. It should be a really fantastic evening”.

Excitement’s building in rehearsals ready for April’s concert. There’s up to 2000 people watching this local Nottingham choir so adrenaline’s running high.
