The city is set to have another milkshake store open. This will take Nottingham’s milkshake store count up to seven.
The American creation dates back to the 1880’s and is now taking over Nottingham. Originally the drink was an alcoholic beverage but customers are now stuck for choice with endless amounts of flavours, sizes and toppings.
One of the milk shake competitors is the Cookie Shake café. The café offers more than 200 different varieties of the milky wonders.
Their best seller is the Oreo milkshake. Duty manager Toby Hope sees the rise of independent stores as great news for Nottingham but one too many could be cause for concern.
Milk Shakes aren’t the only American influence stirring up business in Nottingham. Doughnut stores and burger restaurants are a few other businesses that are proving very popular.
Annmarie Spaziano, the owner of Annie’s Burger Shack in Lace Market, believes the original are still the best.
