There has been a 40% rise in the number of students using apps to obtain “sugar daddies” to pay for university fees, with 195 coming from the University of Nottingham.

The app makers say they believe the high cost of university fees and accommodation in the UK is making students look at new ways of making cash while studying. As tuition have been rising, so have alternative ways of handling the costs.
Last year a study found that more than a fifth of students had thought about being involved in the sex industry. However Seeking Arrangements makes clear that the girls using sugar daddies are not sex workers.

With such a growth in young females joining “sugar daddy” sites, surely more needs to be done to financially support students, to prevent them having to take such measures.
