Sunday, February 5 sees the return of the 2017 Superbowl, with various bars in Nottingham willing to stay open as late as 4am to show the event to their customers.
Days after the wrestling event, the Royal Rumble, was shown on TV, Nottingham bars are preparing for more American sports action.
Even with the time difference in the UK, these pay-per-view events held in America have many American football fans across the pond willing to stay awake until the very early hours of the morning.
In Nottingham a new sports bar, Shooters, which is said to boast the biggest TV screen in any sports bar in the UK, will open next to the Old Market Square.
Bars like Southbank and Horn in Hand in the City centre have sold out for events like these in the past and this years is no different. Southbank currently have all of their booths sold out and expect many people to turn up and buy tickets at the door.
Horn in Hand sold 150 tickets for the Royal Rumble on Sunday, and also had people come on the day. These events have a high demand, which may lead to more and more bars deciding to show them. Carenza Green, bar staff at Southbank Bar in the city thinks they will do well during the Superbowl.
The Superbowl kicks off around 11pm UK time on Sunday, February 5. You can watch it on either BBC 1 or Sky Sports 1.
