Storing decorations can be a tedious and tricky task, but imagine trying to stash away an entire beach or an army of snowmen.
One local company has deal with this issue every holiday season.
Located in Basford, construction is in full swing to create an new Ice Bar for this years Wonderland. James Mellors, director of the Mellors Group Events said:”it’s basically an ice bar, it’s freezing cold, and everything is made of ice.”
Tickets are now on sale for ice skating and will be soon for the Ice Bar. Interest is already visible through social media and it is encouraged to purchase tickets as soon as possible.
Set up will begin in Old Market Square as early as November 1st but preparations started back in April.
The hard working team of forty plus not only deliver to Nottingham but all over the country as Londons Hyde Park winter decorations are stored at the Basford site.
The left over piles of sand bags from the Nottingham summertime beach will be transferred to its new home on the beaches of Skegness.
Ian Sheppard, infrastructure manager said that you have to “get everything built and get everything open and then get everything tidy again ready for it all to come back”.
The market will be officially open from November 19th to the 8th of January.
