Plans are being finalised to bring a unique dinosaur exhibition to Nottingham in the summer of 2017. Heritage bosses believe more people will visit a Jurassic Park-themed Wollaton Hall.

An agreement is being signed today in China between The University of Nottingham, Nottingham City Council and the Chinese Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology.

The exhibit will feature fossils and specimens never before seen outside of Asia and will be hosted at Wollaton Hall, with a satellite display at Nottingham Lakeside Arts.

One of the highlights will be the Gigantoraptor, which at 4 metres high and 8 metres long is the largest feathered dinosaur ever found.

“The feathered dinosaur collection will attract national and international visitors”
