Schools and Colleges across Nottinghamshire are getting involved in Safer Internet Day in a bid to educate young people about being responsible online.

This comes after a study revealed that the majority of people have seen online bullying but only 20% have reported it.

The study, by the UK Safer Internet Centre, also showed that 75% feel that more needs to be done about online hate.

Safer Internet Day has been running since 2011 and promotes responsible use of social media for both younsafer internet factsg people and parents.

Over 1000 organisations are taking part nationally this year, including a number of schools and companies locally.

As a part of the scheme this year, an online TV channel has been set up for the day.
