The late poet Alan Sillitoe’s latest anthology, More Raw Material, has been launched as part of the Nottingham Poetry Festival.
The book, which was put together by Alan’s son David and Neil Fulwood, saw over 30 copies sold on the evening itself at the Five Leaves bookshop.
The collection has now been distributed to major book retailers around the country.
Sillitoe, who passed away in 2010, was a well-known figure around Nottingham. He achieved national fame for his poetry and short stories which he began writing in the 1950s.
