The Interlude poster

After last year’s sell out event the Interlude is back!! With live performances from local talent such as poets, musicians, singers rappers and more.

Inspired by his love for music event organiser, Ore Oluwa.. who is currently in his third year at Nottingham Trent University, decided to put on a calm chilled and relaxing night for local artists to showcase their talent to the people of Nottingham.

Spoken word artist, Ekay, said the Interlude allowed him to express feelings and emotions that he had been holding in since the passing of his father.

Artist Josh has been preforming since he was 14, and taught himself to play the piano and the guitar. Set to do three different performances at the Interlude, Josh admitted that it is difficult to balance rehearsals with studying, but that luckily he has managed to meet all deadlines and was able to attend the showcase to display his talents.

We also caught up with musician, Kwoli Black, who said he would be stepping out of his comfort zone to perform something different to his normal show.  Kwoli will be performing his latest work ‘Breath’ live on a new radio programe, Creative Notts.  Anyone who wants to hear more, can find his work on  ITunes, spotify and Soundcloud.
